affirming therapy for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folks

Jamie Neria (he/they) is a licensed clinical social worker currently living on Monacan and Manahoac land (Charlottesville, VA). He was born and raised in Chicago, and moved to Cville in July 2024. Jamie is trans masculine, a second-generation Mexican immigrant, and a Millennial. He is excited to be extending his services to Central Virginia.

Jamie holds his BA in Psychology from DePaul University as well as his MSW from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Social Work. From serving on the board of on-campus student organizations as an undergraduate to providing therapy services to transgender and gender expansive (TGE) folk, Jamie has dedicated himself to the creation and development of safe, nurturing spaces for queer and TGE individuals.

Jamie views therapy as a collaborative process where an individual can show up as themselves and work towards goals to live more fulfilling lives, however that might look.
